Daniel Reed

Daniel Reed is an accomplished professional in climate communication and environmental storytelling with extensive experience in academia and civic engagement. Currently serving as Associate Director at the Center for Climate Change Communication at George Mason University since April 2021, Reed focuses on leveraging social science insights to guide informed public decision-making on climate issues. Prior to this role, Reed was the Executive Director of Planet Forward at the George Washington University from January 2013 to April 2021, where the mission centered on empowering student storytellers in environmental sustainability. Reed's career also includes roles such as Web Producer at Face The Facts, USA, Special Projects Coordinator, and Executive Coordinator at the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University, as well as an internship in the White House Photo Office. Reed holds a Master's degree in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies with a focus on Public Relations from Bridgewater College.
