Lamya Abdulaziz Alomair

Lamya Abdulaziz AlOmair, PhD, is a highly experienced professional currently serving as Executive Expert Advisor at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia, a position held since September 2023. Concurrently, Lamya is affiliated with George Mason University as faculty since May 2018. Previously, Lamya held notable roles at King Abdullah International Medical Research Center as Associate Research Scientist and Head of AI & Bioinformatics until December 2023, and managed the Human Resource System at Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs from 2008 to 2010. A seasoned Database Administrator with extensive experience at National Guard Health Affairs from 1997 to 2008, Lamya has contributed to various projects, including the implementation of the Warehouse Data Project and system upgrades. Lamya holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from George Mason University, a Master’s Degree in Health Informatics from King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer & Information Sciences from King Saud University.
