Jim Athey

Jim Athey is an experienced professional with a strong background in operations and management within the engineering sector. Currently serving as the UK Managing Director at George Smith since March 2022, Jim previously held the positions of Operations Director and Factory Manager at the same company from October 2015 to January 2021. Prior to this, Jim served as Operations Manager, Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Manager, and Project Engineer at Dyer Engineering Ltd from October 2005 to October 2015. Jim's career began at Cummins Inc. as an Operations Graduate Trainee from July 2004 to October 2005. Educationally, Jim holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from Lancaster University, obtained between 1999 and 2003, as well as GSCE's and A-Levels from Greensward College completed from 1992 to 1999.
