James Allison II has had a diverse range of work experience in the media industry. James started their career at WLAP in 1970, where they worked as the General Manager until 1986. After that, they joined WLEX-TV in 1987 and held multiple roles including Station Relations Manager and News Director. Finally, in 2001, they joined Georgetown College as an Assistant Vice President.
