Shannon Reilly

Raines Summer Research Fellow at Georgetown University

Shannon Reilly is an experienced educator and researcher currently serving as a Raines Summer Research Fellow at Georgetown University, focusing on the correlation between literacy environment quality in Head Start programs and language outcomes for both native English speakers and dual language learners. Since January 2012, Reilly has contributed as an editor for The Hoya Newspaper, ensuring the accuracy and clarity of articles. Additional roles include providing support as a student aide to children with autism at Celebrate the Children and assisting teachers at Hyde-Addison Elementary School. Reilly has also gained significant research experience as a Research Assistant at Georgetown University and as a Lab Manager at Yale University Mind and Development Lab. Earlier experience includes leading a team for Americorps Jumpstart and facilitating language development for preschoolers as a Corps Member. Reilly holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology with minors in English and Education from Georgetown University, supplemented by a study period at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad.
