Bianca Curzio

Bianca Curzio is a PhD candidate in Molecular and Functional Biology at UNICAMP, focusing on the intersection of biochemistry and bioenergy, particularly improving eucalyptus biomass for industrial applications. Previously, Bianca served as Global Regulatory Director at Nourish Ingredients, overseeing regulatory strategies and risk assessments for GMOs and novel foods. In prior roles at Amyris, Bianca coordinated GMO risk assessments and managed laboratory compliance, successfully submitting multiple proposals to regulatory bodies. Bianca's early career included various positions at Solazyme Brasil, where expertise in microbiology and GMO risk assessments was developed, and experience at the Instituto Nacional de Câncer contributed to knowledge in biosafety and environmental health. Bianca holds multiple degrees, including a postgraduate degree in ESG and Corporate Sustainability from FGV, and has engaged in various professional development activities, further enhancing expertise in biosafety and biotechnology.
