Sarah Hurst

Sarah Hurst has extensive experience within the Georgia Department of Human Services, serving since August 2006 in various leadership roles including Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Director of Systems, and Deputy Director of Administration. Responsibilities have included supervising teams, managing projects, overseeing regional operations, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Sarah has also held positions such as Region Manager, Acting Manager, and Region Financial Manager, demonstrating strong management skills and expertise in financial case management, staff development, and process improvement. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Georgia College & State University, along with dual Bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology from The University of Georgia, and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Programming from Central Georgia Technical College.
