Fahrin Islam

Fahrin Islam, M.Sc., EIT is an Environmental Engineer currently employed by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division since September 2020, focusing on inspecting industrial facilities for compliance with state air protection regulations. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from August 2017 to December 2019, where responsibilities included supporting undergraduate students and maintaining laboratories. As a Master’s student, training encompassed water and wastewater treatment processes. Earlier, Fahrin worked as a Research Assistant at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, studying flood inundation and contributing to flood management strategies. Additional experience includes a role as an Executive Engineer at Bashundhara Group, conducting site inspections and ensuring project compliance. Fahrin holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
