Ángel Cabrera currently serves as the President of Georgia Institute of Technology since September 2019. In addition to this role, Cabrera is a Board member and Chair of the Compensation Committee at National Geographic and participates on the Harvard College Visiting Committee. Since June 2012, Cabrera has been a Board member at Fundación Innovación Bankinter and previously served as a Board member and Chair of the Nomination & Governance Committee at Inovio Pharmaceuticals Inc. from June 2012 to May 2020. Other notable positions include Board member at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and President of George Mason University from July 2012 to July 2019. Cabrera has an extensive educational background, holding a PhD and MS in Cognitive Psychology from Georgia Institute of Technology, a BS and MS in Telecommunication Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and undertaken Executive Education in Global Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School.
