Desiree Turner

Desiree Turner, MAT, PMP, currently serves as Associate Director at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where responsibilities include designing outreach programs to enhance the engagement of women in STEM, managing mentorship initiatives, and collaborating with various programs to foster an inclusive environment. Previously, as Interim Director, Desiree led outreach and DEI initiatives for the Women in Engineering Program, overseeing significant fundraising efforts and awarding scholarships. Experience also includes roles as an English Teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, providing data-driven instruction and extracurricular engagement, and as a staff assistant at Navy Federal Credit Union, where administrative support was provided to a large team and significant events were organized. Desiree holds a Master's degree in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from Virginia Tech.
