Jeff Li

Undergraduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology

Jeff Li is an undergraduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Since January 2022, Jeff has served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, focusing on structurally characterizing peptides and co-authoring research papers utilizing 2D NMR and cryo-EM methods. Additionally, Jeff leads a biorefining project investigating the feasibility of sargassum as a biodiesel feedstock. Jeff gained industry experience as an Undergraduate Pilot Plant Co-Op at Amgen in early 2023, supporting a team in a 500L-scale pilot plant while enhancing project management practices. Prior experience includes a Project Management & Engineering Internship at Perdue AgriBusiness, where Jeff managed a significant soybean oil refinery expansion project. Jeff’s academic background includes a brief tenure at Howard Community College and a high school diploma from River Hill High School.
