Vinayak Agarwal is an Assistant Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology since June 2017. Prior to this role, Vinayak held multiple postdoctoral positions, including NIH Pathway to Independence and Helen Hay Whitney Foundation Fellowships at the University of California San Diego from May 2014 to May 2017, as well as serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Scripps Institution of Oceanography until May 2017. Vinayak completed a PhD in Biophysics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2007-2012) and obtained both a Master of Technology and Bachelor of Technology in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (2002-2007). Early research experience includes undergraduate research positions at the National Institute for Medical Research and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology.
