Justin Burns

Justin Burns PhD is an accomplished professional with a strong background in innovation, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property management. Currently serving as a Board Member for the Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance and holding the position of Vice President for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the Georgia Research Alliance, Justin has accumulated extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple organizations. Previous roles include Board Member positions at Resilience Lab, Emtherapro, Pinteon Therapeutics, Fount Bio, Inc., and Prospective Research, Inc., along with a Board Observer role at Wellinks. Justin's earlier career at Emory University included positions as Assistant Director of Licensing, Licensing Associate, Contract Specialist, and Postdoctoral Scholar. An alumnus of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Justin holds a PhD in Molecular Microbiology and a BS in Biology, complemented by business education from Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
