Vice President - Enterprise Risk Management at Georgia's Own Credit Union

Danielle Cegelis has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Danielle started their career in 2006 at Georgia's Own Credit Union, where they held multiple roles. Danielle began as an Accounting Representative, responsible for financial operations, and later served as the Administrative Assistant and Enterprise Risk Management Department Coordinator. In April 2013, they were promoted to Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management and then became the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management in January 2020. Prior to joining Georgia's Own Credit Union, Danielle worked as a General Ledger Processing Specialist at Washington Mutual Bank from December 2003 to April 2006.

Danielle Cegelis has a diverse education history. Danielle obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Enterprise Risk Management from Boston University in the academic year 2023-2024. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Finance, General from Georgia State University, completing it between the years 2016 and 2019. Additionally, Danielle obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Indian River State College from 1996 to 1998.

Aside from their formal education, Danielle has also gained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Danielle earned the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) certification from the NAFCU (National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions) in October 2019. In September 2018, they obtained the GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) from GIAC Certifications. Furthermore, Danielle is certified in Adult First Aid/CPR/AED by the American Red Cross, completing the certification in June 2016. In December 2013, they earned the Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME) certification from the Credit Union National Association. Lastly, in May 2009, they obtained the Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) certification, also from the Credit Union National Association.
