Tony Vowles has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Tony began their career at Sabemo Pty Ltd/Transfield Construction Pty Ltd in 1990 as a Contract/Commercial Manager. Tony then worked at Tyco as a Commercial Manager for the South East Asian region from 1995 to 1999. After that, they joined Howard Smith Ltd as an Assistant Company Secretary and Superannuation Company & Fund Secretary from 1999 to 2001. Tony then moved on to Wesfarmers, where they served as a National Administration Manager from 2001 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they worked at Leighton Construction Company as a Manager, Commercial & Risk. Tony then joined UGL as a Commercial Manager from 2007 to 2008. Tony'smost recent role was at Georgiou, where they held several positions, including Group Commercial Manager from 2009 to 2012, General Manager - Risk from 2012 to 2018, and Chief Risk Officer from 2018 to the present.
Tony Vowles has a strong educational background in various fields. Tony holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Business Law and Management from Curtin University. Tony further pursued their studies in Law and obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from The College of Law Australia. Additionally, they have a Post Graduate Certificate in Construction Law from Murdoch University. Tony also has several certifications, including being a Fellow of The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. Tony has obtained further certifications in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn and the MAICD qualification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
