Marine Scientist at Geoscience Australia

Michal Wenderlich has diverse work experience in the field of marine science and geophysics. Michal started their career as a Marine Geophysicist at Geoscience Australia in May 2021 and continued working there until September 2022. In July 2022, they also took on the role of Marine Scientist at the same organization.

Prior to their role at Geoscience Australia, Michal worked at James Cook University from March 2015 to December 2020, providing teaching support.

In 2020, Michal briefly worked as a Seismic Processor for the Southern Ocean at CSIRO.

In 2017, they worked as a Hydro-acoustics Operator in the Coral Sea at the University of Sydney.

Additionally, Michal gained experience in Geophysical Mapping at Monash University in May 2015 and in Volcanic Terrain Mapping at the University of Tasmania in March 2015.

During this time, their studies focused on seismic stratigraphy and geology.

Taking their passion for geology to the next level, Michal pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at James Cook University from 2017 to 2020. Michal'sresearch and studies during this period centered around seismic stratigraphy and geology, showcasing their dedication and expertise in these fields.

In addition to their formal education, Michal Wenderlich also obtained certification as a Rescue Diver from SSI Scuba Schools International in January 2005. This certification demonstrates their commitment to personal growth and development beyond traditional academic pursuits.
