Buddhika Ranasinghe has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2011. Buddhika began their career as a Trainee at the Arthur C Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies, where they were involved in the development of various projects and the testing of electronic equipment. Buddhika then worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Nimbus Venture (Pvt) Ltd. in 2014. In 2015, they moved to Union Assurance General as a Software Engineer, where they developed a GWP Dashboard, an image upload statistics dashboard, and a Bank Assurance Portal. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Accelerite as a Senior Technical Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, and Associate Technical Support Engineer. In 2019, they joined Wiley as an Associate Technical Specialist and Senior Automation Engineer, where they were involved in the development of microservices, automation, and various technologies. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Senior Customer Solution Engineer at Germain UX.

Buddhika Ranasinghe completed their National Diploma in Engineering Sciences in Telecommunication Engineering from the Institute of Engineering Technology (IET), Katunayake, Sri Lanka in 2015. Prior to that, they attended St. Sylvester's College - Kandy from 2000 to 2008.
