Ignazio Antignano is a Doctoral Researcher at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) since May 2018, focusing on the inflammatory role of the mTOR pathway in microglia under the supervision of Dr. Melania Capasso. Prior to this role, Ignazio gained experience as a Research Intern at IRBM, where the project involved the design and evaluation of Temporin L analogues. In academia, Ignazio served as a Student Representative at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II from 2013 to 2017 and was a Board Member for the Italian Student Association of Pharmacy. Ignazio also completed an internship at Confagricoltura in early 2014. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Medicine from The University of Bonn and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
