Lucas Secchim Ribeiro is a researcher in immunology at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) since July 2021. Previously, Lucas served as a board member of The DGFI Young Immunologists from September 2021 to August 2023 and worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn from April 2017 to August 2021. Lucas dedicated eight years as an associate researcher in microbiology at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais from February 2009 to March 2017, focusing on the development of molecular tests for diagnosing arboviral diseases, encephalitis, and pneumonia. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Science in Immunology and a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Immunology from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, along with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with specialization in Clinical Biochemistry from Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo.
