Simona Vitale is a dedicated researcher currently serving as a PhD candidate, research assistant, and research intern at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) since February 2022, focusing on the biology of glia and neuroinflammation related to Alzheimer's disease. Prior experience includes a student internship at Universidad CEU San Pablo, where the focus was on oncolytic viruses as a therapeutic approach for glioblastoma multiforme, and another internship at the Department of Neuroscience "Rita Levi Montalcini" at Università di Torino, concentrating on the neuropathology of multiple sclerosis. Simona holds a Master's degree in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine from Università degli Studi di Milano, obtained in February 2023, and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Torino, completed in October 2020.
