Alexander Lavin

Alexander Lavin is an accomplished entrepreneur and technology leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and robotics. As Founder and CEO of Pasteur Labs & ISI since October 2020, Lavin has also served as AI Advisor at NASA through Frontier Development Lab, leading the "Digital Twin Earth" initiative. With a background as a Venture Partner and Angel Investor, Lavin focuses on investments in machine learning, hardware-software computing, and data technologies across multiple industries. Previously, Lavin founded Latent Sciences, which developed patented probabilistic AI for neurodegeneration research, and held senior engineering positions at Vicarious AI and Numenta, among others. Lavin's education includes a Master's in Computational Mechanics and Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, an Engineering Management Master's from Duke University, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University.
