Shyamala Navada

Shyamala Navada has a strong background in the medical field with significant work experience. Shyamala began their career as an Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Michigan, where they worked from 2004 to 2007. Following this, they joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as an Adjunct Associate Professor and held the position of M.D., MSCR from 2010 to 2021. At the same time, they also worked as a Senior Medical Director at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Medical Director at Geron Corporation, a role they began in 2023.

Shyamala Navada earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University between 1995 and 1999. Later, between 2000 and 2004, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at the University of Illinois Chicago.
