Dr. Tobias Höfner

Dr. Tobias Höfner is a seasoned Research Scientist currently employed at Gesellschaft für Anlagen- und Reaktorsicherheit (GRS) gGmbH since January 2021. Prior experience includes serving as the Head of Technical Consulting in Application Technology at Steuler Linings from January 2016 to December 2020, where responsibilities encompassed claim management and process optimization, alongside managing development projects. Dr. Höfner also contributed as a Research Scientist at Forschungszentrum Jülich from August 2012 to July 2015, focusing on R&D project coordination with a primary emphasis on Membrane Electrode Assemblies for anion exchange membrane water electrolysis. Earlier in 2012, a role as a Research Assistant in Professor R. Zentel's group at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz was undertaken. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Chemical Engineering) from RWTH Aachen University (2012-2015) and a Master of Science in Chemistry from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (2004-2011), supplemented by a year at Caltech in 2008-2009.
