Dr. Med. E. Pia-Cristina Zimmermann

Dr. med. E. Pia-Cristina Zimmermann currently serves as Chefärztin Altersmedizin at Gesundheitszentrum Fricktal AG since July 2023. Prior to this, Dr. Zimmermann held the position of Chief Physician and Head of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at Spital Muri from April 2019 to June 2023, where significant contributions included establishing a geriatrics ward and introducing consultation services. Previous experience encompasses senior roles in geriatric psychiatry and rehabilitation at various institutions, including Psychiatrie Baselland and Kantonsspital Baselland, where Dr. Zimmermann was responsible for overseeing multiple departments and leading medical residents. Dr. Zimmermann holds advanced degrees in Palliative Care and Medical Management from King's College London and PHW Bern, respectively, alongside a Doctoral Degree in Human Medicine from the University of Basel.
