Abdul Rahuman

Abdul Rahuman has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Abdul started their career as an IT Administrator at El-Seif Engineering Contracting in April 2006 and worked until February 2007. Abdul then joined SevenSeas ShipChandlers as a Network Administrator from May 2007 to April 2008.

In June 2008, Abdul Rahuman joined GET Group Holdings Ltd. as an IT Specialist. Abdul'sresponsibilities included configuring and managing Active Directory, Group policies, DHCP and DNS server, and file server. Abdul provided IT support to over 60 employees and maintained and monitored the LAN infrastructure using Cisco router and switches. Abdul also managed the internet and telephone connections for GET Group. Abdul Rahuman worked in this role until September 2011.

After that, they took on the role of a Senior Systems and Network Administrator at GET Group Holdings Ltd. from September 2011 to May 2013. In this position, they were responsible for infrastructure security, network/system administration, and IT support. Abdul designed and implemented network and system security measures such as VPN, VLAN, security policies, protocol inspection, and network monitoring. Abdul Rahuman also managed and monitored remote access VPN and site-to-site VPN.

From May 2013 onwards, Abdul Rahuman served as a Corporate IT Manager at GET Group Holdings Ltd. Abdul developed and implemented information security standards and best practices. Abdul continuously reviewed, implemented, and maintained security policies and procedures. Abdul Rahuman also conducted internal assessment activities to ensure the improvement of security within the company.

Throughout their career, Abdul Rahuman has gained extensive experience in IT support, network and system administration, infrastructure security, and information security management.

Abdul Rahuman completed their education in the field of computer engineering. From 1998 to 2010, they obtained a Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering from TamilNadu State Board. Following that, from 2001 to 2003, they attended PET Engineering College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, Abdul obtained the COBIT 5 Foundation certification from ISACA in April 2018, the ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certification from Certi-Trust in March 2017, and is currently undergoing the preparation for the (ISC)² Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification Exam (2021) offered by LinkedIn, which they expect to obtain in March 2023. Additionally, Abdul has expressed an interest in Cisco certifications, specifically the Cisco Certified Network Professional and Cisco Certified Security Professional qualifications, although it is not mentioned whether they have completed these certifications or not.
