Baptiste Saintot

Baptiste Saintot has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Baptiste is currently the Head of AI / Machine Learning at Alma, a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded SmileCampus in 2019.

From 2018 to 2022, Baptiste worked at OCTO Technology, where they held various positions, including Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, and Associate Data Scientist. During this time, they developed robust products involving the deployment, monitoring, and improvement of machine learning pipelines in production environments.

In 2020, Baptiste also worked as a Lecturer at ESSEC Business School, teaching data science to students in the MSc in Management program.

Earlier in their career, Baptiste worked as a Consultant at Accenture AI from 2016 to 2018 and as a Research Assistant in Analytics at McGill University in 2015.

In addition, they have experience in business development, having worked at Qarnot computing in 2014.

Before transitioning into the field of technology, Baptiste was an Athlete at the International Ski Federation from 2011 to 2014.

Baptiste Saintot has a Master's Degree in Grande École from ESSEC Business School, obtained between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Computer Science from McGill University, completed from 2012 to 2015. Baptiste also participated in an exchange program at Singapore Management University in 2014, focusing on Corporate Finance, Behavioral Finance, and Fixed-Income Investments.

In addition to their formal education, Baptiste has obtained various certifications. These include completing an EventStorming Remote Modeling Online Workshop from Avanscoperta in 2022. Baptiste has also completed several courses on Coursera, including Applied Machine Learning in Python and Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals in 2018. In 2017, they completed courses on Neural Networks and Deep Learning, as well as Machine Learning, both taught by Prof. Andrew Ng from Stanford University. Furthermore, they have completed a course on the development and steering of AI projects from OCTO Technology, although the specific year is unknown.
