David Litman

CEO at Getaroom.com

David Litman brings more than 25 years of travel expertise to his role as co-founder and CEO of getaroom. Dave is a pioneer in the online travel industry, and was the co-founder and CEO of Hotel Reservations Network, which became hotels.com. He was responsible for guiding hotels.com from a start up to the world’s largest hotel website.

Dave started his career with the Dallas law firm of Johnson and Swanson. Wanting to fulfill his entrepreneurial spirit, he started a discount airline business in 1984 that became a multi-million dollar wholesale airfare consolidation operation. In 1991, Dave and Bob saw the untapped potential in the hotel industry and founded what became hotels.com. They sold their interest and left the company in 2004. In 2009, Dave and Bob started getaroom, a hotel booking website focusing on special deals. Dave has been a regular guest speaker at the Cornell Law School and regularly lectures on entrepreneurship.
