Travis Peterson

Travis Peterson has over 10 years of work experience. In 2019, they were an Operations Coordinator at Getaround, where they led operations in the Seattle and Portland markets. Travis managed a crew of 10 or more Field Specialists and interacted with customers, vendors, and potential new business relationships to efficiently onboard new cars to the platform and solve any new issues brought forth by customers. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Logistics Coordinator and Field Operations Team Leader at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Toolik Field Station. Travis managed, hired, scheduled, organized, and directed Field Operations Team in completing both camp operations and science support tasks, and maintained accurate inventory of project materials. From 2009 to 2015, they were an Air Transportation Specialist/Supply Specialist/HEO at PAE Design and Facility Management (United States Antarctic Program). Travis coordinated movement of sensitive scientific equipment, samples, and people, to/from Antarctica in collaboration with the Air National Guard (ANG), NSF representatives, and grantees. Travis also planned, packaged, loaded, and unloaded, all cargo entering and leaving South Pole Station in most extreme environment on earth, and maintained inventory of all materials entering, leaving, and being issued at McMurdo and South Pole Stations via air and vessel.
