About the role

Flex Compliance is seeking an experienced and qualified compliance professional to fill the role of Compliance Testing Manager to build and execute Flex’s Compliance testing and monitoring plan.  

This role will help operate Flex’s testing and monitoring program and will focus on developing and executing the first-line monitoring and testing plan across the product lifecycle. This individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of risk-based testing, liaising with product, operations, compliance, and legal teams to ensure regulatory adherence. The role will also provide the opportunity to identify control gaps and requirements for improvements to enable sustainable growth and a successful customer experience..

This role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 2-3 days per week in our New York Headquarters. We will also consider remote employees in Utah.

What you’ll do

  • Develop test plan for business units based on risk assessment of applicable rules and regulations
  • Identify detailed risks and controls relevant to area being tested
  • Develop test scripts based on regulatory, policy, and procedural requirements and risks and controls
  • Execute every step of testing, including scoping, planning, fieldwork, and reporting
  • Liaise with process and risk owners to understand business processes, educate on potential risks, and communicate control expectations
  • Identify and document findings and required remedial actions based on regulatory, operational, and reputational risk
  • Communicate findings constructively and effectively to relevant stakeholders
  • Work with business unites and cross-divisional stakeholders (e.g., technology, operational, and compliance) to drive and track resolution of findings, assisting with problem-solving to remove roadblocks where required
  • Design and work to implement and maintain automated issue reporting that enables leadership to make informed decisions
  • Develop and run programmatic continuous monitoring strategies, including of issues and complaints, across the Consumer businesses, with a focus on proactive risk mitigation
  • Utilize automation to improve efficiency of monitoring and testing

Key qualifications

  • Minimum of 4-8 years work experience in or related to consumer regulatory monitoring and testing and/or compliance, internal audit, business controls, or other testing functions
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to apply strategic thinking and analytical skills to complex organizational and business issues
  • Ability to share thoughtful ideas and input on shared assignments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Integrity, ethical standards, and sound judgment; ability to exercise discretion with respect to sensitive information
  • Proficiency in  Snowflake, Splunk, Excel macros, Tableau
  • Relevant certification or industry accreditation (e.g., CRCM) a plus
  • Experience with data analytics a plus

The national pay range for this role is $118,000-$140,000 in base salary. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
