Thijs van de Poll

Thijs van de Poll has a diverse work experience. Thijs started their career in 2012 as a Staff Member of the Production Team at Aviation Knowledge & Career Day, where they were responsible for promotion, finances, and communication. From 2012 to 2013, they served as the Treasurer and Vice-Chairman of Studie Vereniging Amsterdam Aviation Association, handling finances and communication for the organization. In 2014, Thijs interned at MovingDot, a consultancy organization in Air Traffic Management, where they developed a system called a Route Catalogue. In 2015, they interned at MedSciences Capital, and in 2018, they became the CTO of Focus, a company providing predictive insight and analytics for strategic decision-making.

Thijs van de Poll began their education journey in 2005 at Pantarijn, where they pursued HAVO NG/NT. Thijs then moved on to the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2012, where they studied Aviation Studies for three years and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree. During their time at Amsterdam University, from 2013 to 2014, Thijs also pursued a minor in Gas Turbines. Following this, Thijs enrolled in Erasmus School of Economics in 2015, studying Econometrics and Operations Research. Thijs completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in this field in 2018. Continuing their education at the same institution, Thijs pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Econometrics and Management Science from 2018 to 2019, further enhancing their expertise in this field.
