Cedric Franz

Cedric Franz has extensive experience in software development and technology leadership roles. Cedric most recently served as the Head of Software Development at GetMyBoat since 2020. Prior to that, they were the Chief Development Officer at SQN (Sinequanon) from 2019 to 2020, where they were responsible for software architecture and development teams. Cedric also held the role of Chief Technology Advisor at ixo foundation from 2017 to 2019, where they focused on building open protocols and networks using blockchain technologies. Before that, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Trustlab Blockchain Innovation Studio from 2017 to 2019, where they developed decentralized applications using Web 3.0 and blockchain technologies. Cedric has also worked as an Independent Consultant in various companies, specializing in FinTech solutions. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Technology at BetTech Gaming, where they oversaw the development of a wagering platform with extensive product capabilities. Earlier in their career, Cedric held senior technology leadership roles at Fundamo, a Visa Company, MiX Telematics, Macquarie Bank, and Fundamo Pty Ltd.

Cedric Franz completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town from 1989 to 1992. Prior to that, they attended Diocesan College from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained their Matric degree.
