Gonzalo R. has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on cloud computing and software development. Gonzalo has held various roles at top companies such as Microsoft, Google, and American Express.

At American Express, Gonzalo served as Vice President of Architecture, where they led large modernization programs to transition applications to cloud-native platforms. Gonzalo also led the Enterprise Architecture team and owned core infrastructure components.

During their time at Google, Gonzalo held two roles. As EMEA Specialist Engineering Manager, they built and led a team that helped enterprise customers develop cloud-native applications and modernize their platforms. As Google Cloud Customer Engineering Manager, they provided technical advice and support to strategic Google cloud enterprise customers.

At Microsoft, Gonzalo held the position of CTO - Microsoft for Emerging Businesses, where they helped emerging companies in Europe build cloud-based businesses using Microsoft Azure. Gonzalo also served as Lead Cloud Architect in the Enterprise & Partner Group, helping large Azure customers in the finance and retail industries adopt Microsoft Cloud Platform.

Furthermore, Gonzalo has experience as a Research Director at Gartner, where they contributed to industry research, and as an IT Consultant at Avanade, where they delivered IT solutions primarily in the finance industry.

Gonzalo's early career included roles as a Cloud Architect at Microsoft Azure, where they helped organizations understand and adopt cloud technologies, and as an IT Consultant at Endemol, where they led a team and developed web channels for travel and advertising websites.

In their most recent role, Gonzalo co-founded a company called getpaid, where they serve as the CTO.

Gonzalo R. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, completing the program from 1996 to 2002. In 2009 to 2010, they pursued an Executive Master's degree in Information Systems Management from IE Business School. In 2018, they attended Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, specializing in FinTech Innovation and studying innovation in the financial services industry. Additionally, Gonzalo R. has acquired various certifications including Architecting Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure with Anthos Specialization from Coursera, obtained in January 2020, Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine Specialization from Coursera, obtained in August 2019, Professional Data Engineer from Google, obtained in November 2018, Guided Tour of Machine Learning in Finance from Coursera, obtained in August 2018, and Data Engineering, Big Data, and Machine Learning on GCP Specialization from Coursera, obtained in March 2018.
