Daniel Kern

Daniel Kern's work experience includes roles at Getsafe, Mercedes-Benz AG, and defortec GmbH.

At Getsafe, they started in May 2020 as a (Junior) Product Designer (UI/UX) and remained in that role until July 2021. Daniel then transitioned to the role of Product Designer (UI/UX) from August 2021 to February 2023. Currently, they hold the positions of Product Designer (UI/UX) & (Interim) Product Manager since March 2023.

Before joining Getsafe, Daniel Kern worked at Mercedes-Benz AG as a Master Thesis Student from September 2019 to January 2020.

Additionally, they gained experience as an Industrial Design Intern at defortec GmbH from March 2017 to August 2017.

Daniel Kern completed their education at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd. Daniel obtained a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Design from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design from 2015 to 2018 at the same institution. In addition to their formal education, Daniel also acquired various certifications. These include "Effective Ideation Techniques for UX Design" from the Nielsen Norman Group in December 2022, "Data-Driven Design: Quantitative Research for UX" from The Interaction Design Foundation in April 2022, and "Interaction Design for Usability" from The Interaction Design Foundation in January 2022.
