Jack Cartwright

Jack Cartwright is the current Vice President of Finance at Spruce. Jack has over 20 years of experience in finance and operations and has held various leadership positions at companies such as Workrise, VareTech Ltd, ReStream Solutions, and 9Gauge Partners, LLC.

Jack’s experience in finance and operations has been invaluable to their current role at Spruce. Jack has led the finance and operations divisions at several companies and has a deep understanding of the inner workings of a business. This knowledge has helped him to streamline processes and improve efficiencies at Spruce.

In their previous role as Senior Director of Finance & Operations at Workrise, Jack was responsible for leading the integration of 11 acquisitions, including the implementation of NetSuite and Paylocity applications. Jack managed a department of over 110 direct reports and 5 functions (AR, Payments & Payroll, Financial Ops, Client Success & Onboarding,and Financial Systems).

Prior to Workrise, Jack served as a Strategic Financial Advisor (CFO) at VareTech Ltd. In this role, they provided financial advice and guidance to help the company make sound business decisions.

Before becoming a financial advisor, Jack was a co-founder of ReStream Solutions, where they provided strategic advice to the company. Jack also served as Director of Finance, Transaction Advisory Service at 9Gauge Partners, LLC and Director of Strategy & Finance at Atkins.

Jack’s experience in finance and operations has been instrumental in their current role as Vice President of Finance at Spruce. Jack has helped the company to grow and flourish by making sound financial decisions and providing expert advice.

Jack Cartwright attended the University of Utah where they earned their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Jack then went on to earn their Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Miami. Finally, they earned their MBA from the Texas McCombs School of Business with a focus in Finance and Strategy. In addition, Jack has a certification from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford in Executive Leadership.

Their manager is Ben Johnson, Founder & CEO. Jack Cartwright works with Jason Cunningham - Chief Growth Officer, Ash Bell - Chief Revenue Officer, and Paul Clark - VP of Engineering.
