Kimberlyn Shirrells has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Kimberlyn most recently worked at GetWellNetwork as the Director of Partnership Success and Health Equity Programs, where they led the design and implementation of a digital health platform focused on maternal health equity. Prior to that, they were a Senior Program Specialist at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where they co-created and managed a doula integration initiative to address the maternal mortality rate disparity among Black women. Kimberlyn also served as a Project Director at the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry and New York State Psychiatric Institute, managing a research study on mental health and substance use treatment for justice-involved youth. Additionally, they worked as an Intervention Facilitator at the Columbia School of Social Work and as a Research Project Coordinator at Northwestern University. Kimberlyn Shirrells has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago. Kimberlyn also holds a Master of Education and a Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. Additionally, they studied Psychology at Tennessee State University.
