Can Berker Cikis

Can Berker Cikis is a software engineer with a diverse work experience in various companies and academic institutions. Starting in 2015, they had an internship as a software engineer at the University of Groningen. During this internship, they worked on a project focused on static analysis of C/C++ source code.

In 2016, Can joined VisioThink Information Technologies Inc. as a software engineer, where they worked until 2017.

In 2018, they became a graduate teaching assistant at ETH Zurich, where they worked until May 2018. During this time, they also held the position of a graduate research assistant, focusing on the development of the open-source Rumble Project. Can was responsible for developing a performance-critical querying engine and working on cluster computation with Spark. Can Berker also played a significant role in pushing the product into the public beta stage.

In 2019, Can worked as a software engineer at atfinity until September of the same year.

From July 2020 to November 2021, they worked as a full-stack software engineer at Oviva.

Currently, Can Berker Cikis is employed as a full-stack software engineer at GetYourGuide, where they started in January 2022. In February 2023, they were promoted to the role of a senior software engineer.

Can Berker Cikis completed their education with a Master's degree in Computer Science from ETH Zürich from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Sabanci University, where they studied from 2012 to 2017. Can Berker completed their high school education at Yaşar Acar Fen Lisesi from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, Can Berker Cikis obtained two certifications, namely "Advanced JavaScript Concepts" from Udemy in April 2020 and "The Complete Junior to Senior Web Developer Roadmap (2020)" from Udemy in January 2020.
