Meury Pontes

Meury Pontes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In 2014, they worked as an English Teacher at Beijing Bohai Education Technology Company until 2017. From 2019 to 2019, Meury worked as a Consultant at R3SOLUTE, where they were part of a team that developed a project to raise capital and conducted extensive research on NGO policies funding and refugee integration. In 2021, they joined Spectrm as a Business Development Specialist, contributing to the design of conversational experiences for various companies. They then transitioned to GetYourGuide, first as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, where they managed interview scheduling, communication, and onboarding. They also took on the additional role of a Member of the GetYourGuide volunteer Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion core group, where they contributed to D&I projects and collaborated with different stakeholders on strategies. Meury's tenure at GetYourGuide is still ongoing.

Meury Pontes started their education at Escola Portuguesa de Macau in 2007, where they pursued a humanities degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies. Meury then attended Beijing Language and Culture University from 2011 to 2013, focusing on Chinese Language and Literature. In 2013, they enrolled in the University of International Business and Economics, where they obtained a Bachelor of International Business Law and Trade, specializing in International Law and Legal Studies. During their time at this university, they also achieved the HSK4 Chinese language certificate in July 2015. In 2018, Meury Pontes began pursuing a Master's degree at Hochschule Furtwangen, specializing in International Relations and Business Administration. Meury completed their Master's degree in 2020. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as the Open Water course from PADI in January 2015 and the IELTS certificate from the British Council in February 2013.
