Rik van Houtum

Rik van Houtum has a diverse work experience in the field of HR and Technology. Rik is currently working as the Head of HR Technology at GetYourGuide since February 2022. Prior to this, Rik served as the Manager HR Technology & Infrastructure at GEA Group from October 2020 to December 2021. Rik also held the position of Talent Operations Lead, EU at Wayfair from January 2019 to August 2020. Earlier in their career, Rik worked as a Manager for Workday Consulting at PwC from August 2017 to December 2018. Rik gained valuable experience as a Senior HRIS Specialist and Project Manager at Booking.com from January 2014 to October 2016, where they were involved in implementing and configuring various HR systems. Rik also worked as an HR & Office Administrator at WYSE Travel Confederation from August 2012 to June 2013 and as an HR and Payroll Specialist at Accenture from September 2009 to February 2011.

Rik van Houtum began their education at Jacob Roelandslyceum in 1998, where they completed their Gymnasium degree in an unknown field of study in 2004. Rik then enrolled in Utrecht University in 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Geography & Planning in 2007. In 2008, Rik pursued further education at the University of Amsterdam and completed their Master of Arts degree in European Studies in 2011. Additionally, in 2009, they briefly attended the University of Deusto to pursue another Master of Arts degree in Euroculture.
