Roger Kupferschmid has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies in the automotive and casting solutions industries. Roger started their career as an Entwicklungsingenieur at Georg Fischer Fahrzeugtechnik AG in 1990 and later worked as a Technischer Vertrieb at George Fischer Automotive, Inc. and Georg Fischer Automobilguss GmbH. In 1999, they joined Georg Fischer GmbH, where they held several positions including Projektleiter, Technischer Betriebsleiter, and Geschäftsführer. Roger then moved to Georg Fischer Kokillenguss GmbH in 2007 as Geschäftsführer. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at Georg Fischer Automotive AG as a Product Segment Manager and later as the Head of Product Management & Development. In 2018, they joined GF Casting Solutions as the Head of Research & Development. Roger also served as the Head of Operational Excellence and is currently the Head of Business Unit HPDC Europe at the same company. In 2022, they became the Managing Director of GF Casting Solutions HPDC GmbH Herzogenburg.
Roger Kupferschmid pursued studies in Werkstofftechnik at ETH Zürich from 1984 to 1990, earning a degree as Diplom-Ingenieurin (Dipl.Ing.).
