Laura van Herpen

Laura Van Herpen currently serves as the Afdelingsmanager epidemiologie en beleidsadvies at GGD Haaglanden since January 2024. Prior to this role, Laura held various positions including Juridisch/bestuurlijk adviseur at De Haagse Scholen from May 2020 to February 2024 and Coördinator geschilbeslechting sociaal domein at Gemeente Amersfoort from April 2020 to July 2021. Laura's earlier experience includes working as a Senior onderzoeker at De Nationale ombudsman and as a Functionaris klachten en conflictmanagement a.i. at De Haagse Scholen. A mediator recognized by MfN, Laura has also held management and advisory roles in different capacities. Laura's educational background includes degrees in law from prominent institutions, including the University of Amsterdam, where international law was studied, alongside studies in philosophy and human rights at the University of Melbourne, and criminology at the University of Essex. Additionally, Laura obtained certification in Systemisch transitiemanagement in 2019.
