Makie Suzuki

Makie Suzuki is an experienced landscape architect and designer currently serving as a Principal at GGN since July 2022 and as Affiliate Faculty at the University of Washington since June 2022. Previously, Suzuki held roles at GGN as Senior Associate from September 2017 to July 2022 and as Associate from September 2012 to September 2017. Additional experience includes working as a Landscape Architect at Sasaki Associates and as Adjunct Faculty in the Landscape Architecture Department at the University of Virginia. Earlier positions include Landscape Designer roles at Sasaki Associates and John Swanson Design Studio, and a GIS consultant/outreach role at the San Francisco Neighborhood Parks Council. Suzuki earned a BA in Sociology and Studio Art from Willamette University and furthered education at the University of Washington from 2003 to 2006.
