Forest Range Manager (sustainability, Climate Change Resilience, Cocoa Agroforestry, Env. Economics) at Ghana Forestry Commission

Richard Asante is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainability, climate change resilience, and environmental economics. Currently serving as a Forest Range Manager at the Ghana Forestry Commission since March 2018, Richard is adept in designing and implementing Climate-Smart Agriculture initiatives. Past roles include overseeing the Sustainability and Compliance department at AGRICORP and working as a student researcher on Climate Change and Human Security at WASCAL. Richard has also gained experience as a Quality Assurance Officer at Abellon and served as a Chemistry Tutor with the Ghana Education Service. Richard holds a Masters Degree in Climate Change and Human Security from Université de Lomé and a BSc in Applied Chemistry from the University for Development Studies. Additionally, Richard has completed a research visit in Environmental Economics & Sustainability at Københavns Universitet.
