James Yamoah

James D. Yamoah is an accomplished leader in the petroleum and exploration sectors, currently serving as the Director of Petroleum at the Ministry of Energy since May 2022. With extensive experience at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, including roles such as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of HSSE, James has been instrumental in overseeing E&P projects, engineering, and geoscience initiatives. James's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Petroleum Geoscience from Heriot-Watt University and a Master’s degree in Finance and Strategy from The Manchester Metropolitan University, complementing a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Ghana. James has contributed significantly to geological aspects of exploration in Ghana's deepwater regions and has developed various strategic initiatives to enhance operational performance within GNPC.
