Mabel Vargas

Mabel Vargas has extensive work experience in various roles within the field of Human Resources. Mabel'smost recent position was as the Human Resources Director for Australia at Ghella. Prior to this, they worked as a Human Resources Business Partner (Contract) at Macquarie Telecom Group. Mabel also had a career break at Staycation. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Newcrest Mining and worked as a Human Resources Advisor at Kalari Pty Ltd. Before transitioning into Human Resources, Mabel worked in Remuneration Specialist and Analyst roles at BHP. Mabel also gained experience in leadership as a Team Leader at CPA Australia. Mabel started their professional journey at ANZ, where they held various roles such as Operations Manager, Relationship Manager, and Assistant Manager. Mabel'searliest work experience was as an Account Manager at IBM Colombia.

Mabel Vargas holds a Master's degree in Business and Information Technology from the University of Melbourne, which they completed from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Catholic University of Colombia. In 2016 and 2017, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management at Victoria University. Additionally, Mabel has obtained various certifications, including Gallup Strengths Coach, Executive Coaching Accreditation, Insights Discovery Client Practitioner, Talegent Path Accreditation, Professional Member (MAHRI) of the Australian HR Institute, Change Management - Foundation, and Prince2 - Foundation. Mabel is also currently working towards the Global Remuneration Practitioner (GRP) - Professional Accreditation from WorldatWork.
