Lisa Gillstrom

Lisa Gillstrom has over 20 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Lisa has held various roles, including Director of Compliance - Professional Services at GHR RevCycle Workforce since 2018. In this role, they educate and ensures compliance of physician-based coders supporting clients across numerous settings.

Prior to their current position, Lisa worked at himagine solutions inc. from 2010 to 2018. Lisa served as a Compliance and Quality Audit Project Manager, where they analyzed medical record documentation, implemented physician and staff education, and performed audits for healthcare provider organizations nationwide. Lisa also worked as a Health Care Consultant, auditing coding and compliance employees and improving audit performance for a major healthcare corporation.

Lisa's experience also includes working at Peak Health Solutions as a Coding Specialist/Consultant, where they coded inpatient and outpatient professional services for a major health system in Northern California. Lisa was responsible for account analysis, documentation review, and charge entry.

Additionally, Lisa worked at Associated Health Services as a Medical Coding Specialist/Business Office Specialist, reviewing and coding professional services for over 200 medical professionals. Lisa also worked at Minnesota Oncology Hematology, PA as a Patient Financial Counselor, assisting cancer patients with insurance coverage and funding resources.

Lisa's early career included roles at Eisenstadt Allergy & Asthma, LLP as an Interim Business Operations Manager, overseeing administrative tasks and patient accounting, and at Allina Health System as a Coding Specialist/Hospital Abstractor, providing coding services and ensuring billing compliance.

Throughout their career, Lisa has demonstrated expertise in coding, compliance, audits, and revenue cycle management.

Lisa Gillstrom, CPC, CPBB, CPM, HUC has a diverse education history. Lisa studied Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Lisa also pursued Business Healthcare at Mid-State Technical College, Health Information Management at Rasmussen University, and Project Management at Cornell University. Additionally, Lisa has obtained several additional certifications, including CPBB from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, CPM from McGraw-Hill Education, HUC from the National Association of Health Unit Coordinators, Inc. (NAHUC), and CPC from AAPC.
