Render Wrangler

Giant are hiring a Render Wrangler for an exciting CG production.

Position Overview

This opportunity is a full-time position, with the candidate required to reside in the Republic of Ireland. We provide flexible working arrangements, including on-site, fully remote, or hybrid options.

Position Responsibilities

• Ensure that render jobs are properly prioritised in the queue system so that project goals are met while monitoring the render farm’s health and status regularly.
• Monitor rendering quality and quantity, as well as making the required corrections (troubleshooting) when needed.
• Communicate with the IT Manager and Creative Supervisors on outstanding hardware and software issues, as well as overall render farm performance and efficiency (maximisation) across the facility.
• Monitor disk server status. Perform backups, archiving and restores.
• Support the artists and leads by responding to their help inquiries and errors.
• Assist in the creation of production-supporting tools with the R&D or Pipeline team.
