Account Manager at Giant Propeller

Valerie Ohm has held a variety of roles in the art and entertainment industries. Valerie began their career in 2013 as a Gallery Intern at Albany Center Galleries, followed by a Gallery Intern position at Greene County Council On The Arts in 2015. In 2014, they were a Gallery Assistant (PT) at POLISH CONTEMPORARY ART ORGANISATION, where their duties included front-of-house duties, invigilation, development of digital content, and relationship management with artists and patrons. In 2016, they had three roles: Editorial Assistant (Part-Time) at Foodies Magazine, Communications Manager (seasonal) at Edinburgh Student Arts Festival - ESAF, and Account Management Intern at The Gate Edinburgh. Valerie then worked as a Marketing and Retention Account Manager at MTV NETWORKS from 2016-2017, followed by a Marketing Specialist role at Ladurée USA from 2017-2019. Most recently, they have been an Account Manager at Giant Propeller since 2021.

Valerie Ohm has a diverse educational background. Valerie began their studies at the University of Edinburgh Business School, where they obtained their MA Business Management with Marketing in Business Marketing, Communications and Strategy from 2011 to 2015. Valerie then attended The University of Queensland for Marketing and Events from 2013 to 2014. Valerie also attended Sotheby's Institute of Art for a Summer Study in Art World Marketing, PR, and Communications; Introduction to Art and Finance in 2014. In 2015, they attended The University of Edinburgh for Art History, Criticism and Conservation and Edinburgh Napier University for a Master of Science (MSc) in Creative Advertising, which they completed in 2016. Additionally, Valerie Ohm has obtained a Storytelling in Advertising certification from FutureLearn in July 2016.
