Mariam Farahat, CPA

Mariam Farahat, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Mariam currently holds the position of Financial Controller at Giatec | Smart Construction Solutions, starting in July 2022. Prior to this, Mariam worked at KPMG Canada, where they held the roles of Manager from October 2021 to July 2022 and Senior Accountant from January 2019 to October 2021.

Before joining KPMG, Mariam was a Staff Accountant at Welch LLP from January 2017 to January 2019. Prior to that, they gained experience as an Internal Auditor at MD Financial Management | Gestion financière MD from September 2015 to August 2016. Mariam also worked as a Financial Analyst at Public Works and Government Services Canada from January 2015 to July 2015 and as a Contracting Officer at Public Services and Procurement Canada | Services publics et Approvisionnement Canada from August 2013 to August 2014.

Throughout their career, Mariam has developed a strong background in finance and accounting, demonstrating their expertise in various areas such as financial control, auditing, and contracting.

Mariam Farahat, CPA pursued their education in a chronological manner. Mariam completed their Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CO-OP) from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Lisgar Collegiate Institute from 2008 to 2012 and obtained their High School degree. More recently, they attended the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 2017 to 2019 to enhance their qualifications and expertise in the field of Accounting.
