Chih Wai Liew began their work experience in 1996 as a Foreign Service Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore. From 1998 to 2004, they worked at Standard & Poors Ratings Services as an Associate in Sovereign & International Public Finance Ratings. In 2004, they joined DBS Bank as a Vice President in the Financial Markets Credit Group until 2008. Chih then moved to Temasek, where they served as an Associate Director in Risk Management from 2008 to 2012. Chih Wai is currently the Senior Vice President of Credit Risk Management at GIC, a position they have held since 2012.
Chih Wai Liew attended the National University of Singapore from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Social Sciences with Second Class Honours, Upper Division in Economics.
