Raj Venkataraman Iyer

Raj Venkataraman Iyer currently serves as Head of Europe and Co-Head of Alternative Credit at GIC, starting in 2023, and holds the position of Vice Chairman at SpecifX, Inc., which focuses on advancements in Lithium production since 2022. Previously, Raj Iyer was a Director at Diamond Offshore from 2021 to 2023 and spent 15 years at Canyon Partners, LLC as a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager, where leadership encompassed investments in credit, distressed debt, and merger arbitrage. Foundational experience includes roles at Morgan Stanley and Colden Capital Management prior to 2006. Raj Iyer holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, an MS in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University, and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
